Process Design

Process Design

We start with the people process, not the information or paper processes. The people processes are the 'container' for the other processes.

Quality metrics, specifically 3 or 6-sigma, are very effective barometers of process improvement. The key design element here is picking the most effective measures.

Embodying new ways of doing things is tough. Unlearning old ways of doing things is hard work. We respect this and work with it. Clear new distinctions, well designed, simple new practices, metrics and shared goals produce momentum.

Technology Design

Technology Design

A technology landscape gives us (BizTH!NK and our clients) an understanding of how the current processes are supported - we seek to understand how your technology supports your business, not just the technology itself.

This is a design for how your current technology, combined with minimal new technology, can best support your processes.

There is a fine balance between the order in which you tackle your processes and how you implement supporting technology. Time, resources, budget, people, competence, results, outside pressures - they are all factors to be considered. Our strategy is designed to address this balance.

People Mobilization

People Mobilization

To arrive at and deliver our designs, we mobilize combined teams of technology and business people. We work most effectively as design leaders and 'embed' in our clients' teams.

At the heart of what we do is analyzing, understanding and designing processes as networks of human coordination - as 'containers' for information and paper processes.

Because we approach processes from the very powerful perspective (the BIG lever) of human language and coordination, it lends itself well to identifying, designing and training people in new and more effective practices that can quickly impact their productivity and quality of life at work.

Our deep understanding of human coordination allow us to 'mobilize' combined teams across functions, building mutual respect, common language and understanding and shared ambition along the way.
